These two birdies are made from embossed copper sheet with vintage china for their wings, they have coiled brass beaded tails and soldered tin beaks. Perched on top of a brass and copper tree with a glass heart and handmade porcelain flowers, they are coated in crystalline verdigris and assembled on a piece of vintage tea plate. The assemblage is mounted and signed on acid free off white card in a cream contemporary style open grain wooden box frame, 230mm x 280mm.
I love digging up bits of china in my garden and they make lovely wings on these two birdies. Every spring the trees and bushes are full of paired birds. Love really is all around.
